I would really like more date/time options in Excel. Go look at what Matlab
provides. Some suggestions: - provide an option on the DATEVALUE function where the epoch (start date) is provided by the user. Matlab default is 1-Jan-0000. - provide an option for DATEVALUE function to specify the time of the epoch like 12:00:00 or something like this. - It would be great if there were canned functions to calculate number of days since the J2000 epoch or other common epochs. - It would be great if there were canned functions to translate the current time or a provided time into J2000 or a time relative to a provided epoch. - It would be helpful if the date and time functions would provide some more functions that allow input of date and time together and calculate the serial number of days ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes.
