Default Ask for password after certain date?

Is it possible to have excel ask for a password to open a file, but only
after a certain specified date? I need to make a workbook date sensitive
ie request a password after a certain specified date

Not without VBA, and that VBA code could be modified before the date on
which the password would be required.

If you want to distribute protected IP, don't use Excel workbooks. If
Excel workbooks are the only medium you know in which to distribute IP,
then you can't really protect what's in those workbooks.

That said, supposedly Excel 2003 provides DRM, but only for files
stored on servers running under Windows Server 2003 with DRM
functionality enabled. If you could require and enforce installation of
your workbooks only onto such servers, then the server may be able to
provide such functionality for you.
