Default Creating shapes from given criteria

Hi All
A friend is in the carpet laying business and asked me if I could help him
with a quotation spreadsheet....easy enough !!
Now he wants the room drawn on the spreadsheet to the dimensions he has
typed in for the measure up.
I have given this a fair bit of thought but, dare I say, don't think it can
be done, not with my limited ability anyway.
I am thinking the shape might have to be created in another App and then
imported.
Any ideas / suggestions would be appreciated.
