Default replace "." with "/"

hi

ive got a LONG list of details with the date entered as 12.12.2005 instead of 12/12/2005. is there a way to change the . for a /

Select that column
edit|replace
what: . (dot)
with: / (slash)
replace all

Highlight the entire area and press Ctrl+H and under find what put . and
replace by /
