I am trying to copy a text from a webpage into excel. The problem is that
some of the things I am trying to copy are numbers like 16-1 excel then wantsto format it to a date so in excel 16-1 turns up like 16 jan. I know that i can format the cell to text instead of dates... but I am going to copy past hundreds of times and I therefor want to preformat the cells... cause even if I format the cell to a text cell before I paste my numbers it is still returning it as a date. I have also tried to use the command "paste special" but then my text doen not appears in the different columns that I want. Is there some to lock the cells from reformating when I am pasting in them or even better...can I turn this autocorrect to dates function off? br Henrik |

Is there anyway you can do a web query instead? If so there is an option to
turn off date recognition -- Regards, Peo Sjoblom http://nwexcelsolutions.com "Henrik" wrote in message ... I am trying to copy a text from a webpage into excel.
