An existing company uses a multiplier system for marking up their products as
follows Multiplier Cost 6 x $0.00 - $9.99 5 x $10.00 - $19.99 4 x $20.00 - $49.99 3 x $50.00 - $199.99 2.5 x $200.00 €“ Over Obviously this produces a €śstepped€ť graph or pricing levels. Is there a function in Excel that would allow me to input this information and then generate a smooth curve with a steadily decreasing multiplier level approximating the above? |

Found that if you plot the 2 cols below on a *line* chart
(extracted from your post) Multiplier Cost 6 0 5 10 4 20 3 50 2.5 200 you could then: Double-click on the €śMultiplier€ť line In the Format Data Series dialog, Select Axis tab Check €śSecondary axis€ť under €śPlot series on€ť Select Patterns tab Check €śSmoothed line€ť OK Thisll plot the €śMultiplier€ť line on the sec axis (right vertical) with a smoothened line .. giving you a smooth curve with a steadily decreasing multiplier level You could also smoothen the Cost line in the same way -- Rgds Max xl 97 --- GMT+8, 1° 22' N 103° 45' E xdemechanik <atyahoo<dotcom ---- " wrote: An existing company uses a multiplier system for marking up their products as follows Multiplier Cost 6 x $0.00 - $9.99 5 x $10.00 - $19.99 4 x $20.00 - $49.99 3 x $50.00 - $199.99 2.5 x $200.00 €“ Over Obviously this produces a €śstepped€ť graph or pricing levels.
