Default Relative values and NAME

How do I use relative cell values when using the NAME function? I thought I
had succeeded in doing this but as soon as I sorted the spreadsheet to a
different order, the SUM function I used to pick up the values in the named
cells collected the values from new cells that were in the position of the
old named ones.

Hi
sorting does not change the cell references. You always reference a cell and
not it#s contents
