Need formula to jump from one column to the next
I am looking for a formula to end a column say at A20 and then begin again at
B1. Is there a formula for this. So when typing you don't have to click B1 everytime?? Thanks for your help. |

Need formula to jump from one column to the next
Hi,
You may try this solution. Suppose you want to start inputing numbers from cell A1. Now select cell A2 down till A20 and the press the Ctrl key and select from B1 till where you want. Next press the Ctrl key and select cell A1. Now go to the Name box (it appears on the top left corner of the Excel workbook) which will currently be showing you the cell reference. Type a name here, say "Range" (without quotes) Now whenever you want to go to the range, just type "Range" in the Name box and that range will get highlighted. type the number and pres tab (not enter) to input a number in the other cell of the range. You will notice that once you reach cell A20 and press tab, you will automatically be transferred to cell B1. Hope thsi helps. If you have any furhter queries or any further clarifications, please feel free tro contact me at Regards "Amber" wrote: I am looking for a formula to end a column say at A20 and then begin again at B1. Hi Amber,
You can use either TAB or ENTER with Ashish's method. Enter is more convient for typing, I would think. HTH Regards, Howard "Amber" wrote in message ...
