Default Vlook up and if statements (I think)

Im working on a data base with several thousand rows and about 60 columns on
the second worksheet named 2006. The first worksheet contains fomuals based
of the number on the second sheet.
The first column of the second sheet contains mutliple codes. Some of the
codes are duplicated. The second column has what is called a modifier and
the third column has a secondary modifier. the rest of the 60 or sow colummn
are dollar amounts. What I need to do is enter a code on a specific section
of the first work sheet and have it return one of 1 value based on the look
up of of the code on the first sheet to the dollar amount on the second sheet.
I understand the usuage of the VLOOKUP but don't understand how to have it
tell me the value of the the code with the modifiers in the third and fourth
columns (modifiers)
example of worksheets:
If I enter a code of e2320 I need the dollar value of the code returned in 2
ways, one with a modifier of NU and and no second modifer present one with 2
modifiers of NU and KC each in spererate rows.

If needed I can send a small copy of this excel workbook for possible review.

Thanks
