Default Updates Problem

How do I get linked workbooks to update without opening each workbook? For
example, if workbook A, passes data to workbook B, and B passes data to
workbook C, how can I change data in workbook A and open workbook C (without
opening workbook B) and have the changed data reflected?

TQ

You can't. Workbooks update there links when they are opened. Closed
(Passive) files don't perform activities on their own. To the best of my
knowledge, Excel doesn't try to track down links beyond accessing the
information currently in the closed workbook. (The next level)
