Default Date entries

I was enter dates of birth in a column as month/date/year. The year was
entered as two digits. 2/7/31 appeared in cell as 2/7/1931.

However, once I got below 1930 and entered a date as 2/1/29, it appeared in
the cell as 2/1/2029. Can you tell me what was happening?

Look in your regional windows settings, windows start settings control
panel and regional and language options (assuming you are using windows
xp), then click customize and date and there you can set it

Hi,

Take a look at chip Pearson's web site which has a very complete
explanation.
