Is there a way (besides screen shots) to import a word document into an
Excel worksheet and include images?

Two ways:

1. In Word CNTRL-A then CNTRL-C (copy the document) and then in Excel do a
CNTRL-V

2. In Excel pull-down:

Insert Object and select the Word file.

both methods seem to capture both words and pictures.
