Default Weeknum

When I apply this function for 2005, it seem the weeknum is not correct. For
example, 6/1/2005, the weeknum will return WK2, however, which should be WK1.
Would u have any idea???

It's microsofts interpretation of week. For them the first week of 2005 is 5
days long, preceeded by 2-day long last week of 2004 (as you didn't
determine otherwise through optional parameter, the week returned by WEEKNUM
starts with Monday).

When you need an ISO weeknumber, you have to use some formula for it - which
one depends on country you live in (on ISO estabilished the there are a
couple of them used worldwide, they differ how is determined the first week
of year, and what is starting day for week), or you want tou use.

A correction!

(as you didn't determine otherwise through optional parameter, the week
returned by WEEKNUM starts with Sunday).

Christine,

A complex matter. Take a look at http://www.cpearson.com/excel/weeknum.htm
