I need a cell reference to another sheet to move as I create succeeding
sheets. E.g. I name a sheet 03-22-06. The next day, I copy this sheet to create 03-23-06 and on this sheet I reference cell A1 on the 03-22-06 sheet (i.e. =+'03-22-06'!A1). Now, on 3/24, I create sheet 03-24-06, but on this sheet I want my reference to give me the data in =+'03-23-06'!A1. What I get now is =+'03-22-06'!A1. Thanks for your help! It's most appreciated! |

The sheet name will not update like a cell reference. What you will have to do in the new sheet is replace all the 22s with 23s. Do this: Select the new sheet. Click Edit - Replace In the "Find what:" box, type "-22-" without the quotes. In the "Replace with:" box, type "-23-" without the quotes. Click on "Options" In the "Look in:" box, select Formulas. Click Replace All Done HTH Otto "GBT" wrote in message ... I need a cell reference to another sheet to move as I create succeeding sheets. E.g. I name a sheet 03-22-06.
