Default Pivot table field names

I am trying to create an Excel Pivot table report and get a constant message
that my Column field names are not correct. They have been formatted for text
entry and are aligned differently than the items contained in the list. Can
anyone out there help? Thanks

Do you have any blank cells in the heading?
