Default My worksheet is numbered in both row and column. Is that right?

I'm finding it hard to create formulas with thie 2003 version of microsoft
office excell due to the fact that the row is numbered as well as the column.
Am I not doing something I should be or is this an error in my application?

Sounds like you need to change your settings. Go to the Tools menu.
Select the Options. Select the General tab. In the settings, if the
R1C1 reference style check box is selected, de-select it. That will
return you to lettered columns and numbered rows.
