Default Excel Workbook opens after a very very long time

When i open a excel workbook it takes a very very long time to open, it is
becoming very tedious and fustrating anyone got any ideas as how i can
resolve this problem

Assuming the file size is not large (e.g. over 5MB) and the PC is on a
network then check the following Microsoft Knowledgebase article:

Thanks bob for rplying.
The file is only 600kb and is not placed on the nework, it is accessed from
the same computer from where the file is located.
Any other ideas as th cause of the problem
