one sheet to another, when teh lines vary
Hello,
I am trying to write a formula that will bring data from one sheet to another. On sheet 1 I would like to bring data from sheet 2. I would like the data to appear in C4 and D4. The issue is that the data I would like to bring over is not always in the same place on sheet 2. For example, the data I need to read will always be in column C, but not always the same row. Here is what the sheet looks like that I am drawing the data from (I need the 1058 to pull over to sheet 1 cell C4 and the 43 to appear in D4 - remember, the data will not always be on the same line): A B C D E DG1 Outdoor 1 112 6 308.59821 DG2 Outdoor 2 80 0 366.3875 DG3 Outdoor 3 57 1 262.64912 DG4 Outdoor 4 26 2 351.80769 DG5 Indoor 5 51 3 410.58824 DG6 Indoor 6 186 5 276.15054 DG7 Indoor 7 345 16 313.04638 DG8 Indoor 8 116 7 322.71552 DG9 Dev 9 27 2 316.11111 DG10 All Groups 1058 43 311.00473 Thanks |
Hi!
You want to "pull" 1058 and 43. Based on what criteria? What do these numbers represent? You have to define a starting point to search for something even though you might not know it's exact physical location. DG10 All Groups 1058 43 311.00473 Are 1058 and 43 always associated with "DG10" and "All Groups"? If so, then that's a starting point. Need more detail.
