Pivot Table: I want default to be sum & not count

Hello experts,

I have a pivot table and whenever I drag and drop in to the Data portion of
it, the pivot is always putting numbers in as "count" and I am always having
to change it manually to "Sum". Is there a way to change the default way that
a pivot handles info dropped into the data box. I'd like the default to "Sum"
data as opposed to "Count" it.

Thanks in advance,
Scott

You can't change the default settings for the data fields. If a field
contains blank cells, or cells with text, it will default to COUNT.
Otherwise, it will SUM.

There's a feature that changes all the data fields to SUM, in my pivot
table add-in, that you can download he
