I am trying to split the cells below a Header Column:
Header: Time I would like to split the cells below that to put in variable times. 1st split would contain the start time. The second split would contain the ending time. This is to be used for volunteer event scheduling. Thanks, |

Hi Gloria,
Microsoft Word allows you to split a cell. In Excel, each cell has an address and cannot be split. What you can do in insert another column them merge the two cells in the first row. http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/merge.htm#builtin As noted on the page merging cells may interfere with such things as sorting, filtering, and autofit of rows and columns. To merge two cells select them, then format, cells, alignment, merge.
