Default Pivot table problems since install of Office SP2 update

Excel 2003 keeps destroying my Pivot Tables when a spreadsheet is loaded up.
I get the following message. "PivotTable ......was discarded due to integrity
problems".

An extract from Microsoft Office Excel File Repair Log 24 Oct 2005 reads
Errors were detected in file 'D:\Time Report Oct 2005.xls'

The following is a list of repairs:

PivotTable report 'PivotTable1' on '[Time Report Oct
2005.xls]HrsSummaryDaily' was discarded due to integrity problems.
I have had 10 Pivot Tables trashed by Excel.

I am running Office 2003 under Windows XP Professional.

If you turn off the AutoRecover feature, you may be able to open the
files without a problem. There's information in the following MSKB article:

"Unable to read file" error message when you open Excel file that
contains a PivotTable report

I appreciate your response, but the KB article you reference is for
"Microsoft Excel 2002 Standard Edition." We had found it as well but it did
not resolve the problem as the KB article would indicate. Our problem is in
Excel 2003.

But thank you for taking the time to respond...It is appreciated.
