Default No Drop Down Tab showing

Is there any circumstances when a Data Validation Drop down Tab will not
display, other than having the 'In-cell dropdown' unselected?

Hi
I heard from some 'corrupted' files esp. with Excel 97 (even had this some
time on my own). Easiest solution: Re-build the sheet

Saw posting on the Group on XL97 with Freeze frames etc, I'm on XL2002, I
just recreated the whole sheet and it worked fine

Thanks

i have had the same problem as you regarding the dropdown tab showing. I'm on
XL2003. The only thing I can do is to copy entire data in the worksheet
having the problen to another worksheet, re-establish the links to my model
and then it works normally.

The dropdown won't show if objects are hidden.

To show them, choose ToolsOptions
On the View tab, for Objects, choose Show All, or Show Placeholders

It doesn't work though I've done as suggested.
