Default Prevent Users from Selecting Cells

Greetings!

I am creating a template. How do I prevent users from selecting the rest of
the cells except the five cells in which data will be entered (just like in
the Loan Amortization template)?

Thank You.

One way, unlock the cells you want data in, protect the sheet and uncheck
allow users to select locked cells
