Default in excel worksheet, add numbers in column k2&k3

I can sum columns A thru j But the same functions will not work in column K.
I get numbers that look like a date from long ago such as 10/26/1900, 3:10.
Strange. Please help.

Select these strange-looking cells and pull-down:

Format Cells... Number General
