Excel 2003 - When comments are inputted in spreadsheets, it would be good to
have a feature to either lock the 'comment' or password protect the 'comment' whereas, when the spreadsheet is shared not everyone can read your comments. Even thou you can turn off your 'comment indicator' (not showing there are comments in a spreadsheet) those knowledgeable in excel can easy turn on the comment indicator. Therefore, this does limit the user in the types and extent of a user comments. Protecting the document is not a choice, when sharing files whereby users require editing. It will be fine to view the 'comment indicator' but when a user clicks, the user cannot access the contents of the comment. |
