Default Time formatting:data 1:30:20 entered reads in 1:30:20 pm

I am trying to get data entered in format 1:30:25 etc... to read 1:30:25 PM
but it keeps reverting back to am.

Hi Ellen,

If you don't like using the 24 hour format:

In the case of time input, Excel assumes it's AM unless you specify " PM"
after the time value. Actually, "1:30:25 P" is all you really need to enter.
