Keeping Excel Active Always
My work computer monitor settings is password protected and goes to sleep
every twenty minutes. I have an Excel calender that I need to see always on my screen. Is there some sort of function I can use that will activate every 15 minutes just so the screen on the monitor won't go blank. I thought installing a clock in my excel calander would work but it still goes to sleep. Any suggestions please! Thanks in advance. |

Keeping Excel Active Always
To the best of my knowledge the Windows environment requires active input from your keyboard/mouse to keep the session unlocked. You should talk to your IT department/person and find out if there is a company policy or security reason why unattended computers need to lock out after 20 min. This may be to protect the computer from unauthorized users. If there is no security reason or policy for this then they should be willing to change the settings for you. If there is they may be willing to let you save your calender as a file and set it as the screen saver. This way you could still have your calender and maintain the security of the system as Windows can be set to require a password to get out of the screen saver.. Hope this helps. -- goober ------------------------------------------------------------------------ goober's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=19838 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=511244 |
