Decimal Places - Settings for Auto Rounding Up/Down
Three colleagues and myself regularly work on a spreadsheet containing
formulas to calculate percentages from whole numbers, and display the results to two decimal places. However, when one person updates the spreadsheet, the percentages that are returned by the forumula are sometimes 0.01% different the the percentages returned if the rest of us update the spreadsheet. Does anyone have any ideas? If so, we would be so grateful. Could the precision setting have anything to do with this? |

Yes,
If the 'Precision as Displayed' Options checkbox is checked, that makes the actual value equal to the viewed value. Therefore, 1.234 (formatted to show 1.23) times 10 = 12.30 if Precision is on OR 12.34 if Precision is off.
