Default How do you hide column and row headings in Excel?

We have a workbook that was created by someone else. In all of the
worksheets the column and row headings are hidden and you also do not see any
kind of lines. How is this done?

Select Options from the Tools menu. In the View tab there is a box called
Gridlines where you can click to select/deselect gridlines on your
worksheet. Ditto a box called Row & Column headers

All the best

Try this:

ToolsOptionsView tab
Uncheck: Gridlines
Uncheck: Row & column headers

Does that help?
