I'm using Excel 2003 on a Tablet PC running Windows Tablet PC 2005 (sp2 in
other words). I've found that increasing the row height and writing with ink in cells is a handy way to keep a list - I can add, delete or move rows and the ink within each cell maintains its relationship with the cell. So now I want a function that I'll call "InkToText" or "InkToNum" that can operate on the ink linked to a given cell and return a best guess of the text or number of a referenced cell. This would be a great way to enter data using the tablet - I could ink in a list of numbers, and add a funtion to neigboring cells to interpret the numbers as I add them. I'm not a programmer, so basically I'm wondering if the idea is viable. |
