![]() I need some help working with times. I need to be able to add up times worked for 12 months of the year. For example if one workd 49 hours and 23 minutes the month of Jan and the same for Feb, how do I do this and keep a running sum of them? I can't see to figure out how to format it so that it does not change to time of day since it will be over 24 hours. Thanks. -- jlogan21 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ jlogan21's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=30111 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=506029 |

Hi
What is the formula you are using? What does the data look like in the source cells being summed? -- Regards Roger Govier "jlogan21" wrote in message ... Ok I tried that and this is what happend. ![]() I am just using the =SUM(A1:A10). But can't seem to figure out how to format the cells so that it will add the times correctly. I just dont know why it is changing the numbers the way that it is. ![]() Each of those cells contains the total hours worked for the month. The example I was using was that Jan. has a total number of hours worked at 146 hours and 23 minutes. I am trying to do a year to date total in another celll, that will keep a total of all hours worked each month. At the moment I do not have any formatting as I cant figure out how it is supposed to be done so that it will add the hours and minutes correctly to keep the running total. Ultimate goal is to have a total time worked for the year.
