Default Access Closed workbooks (2003)

I am trying to pull information from a multiple of workbooks. I would like
to put the reference name (path, file name ,sheet name and lcell ocation) in
separate cells so I can easily change from where I am pulling data. (eg I get
a set of workbooks each month from which I want to aggregate the data. I can
use the vlookup function which will pull from a closed file but I have to
manually alter each formula for the new report name each month. I've tried
the indirect function with the concatenate function (to put the pieces
together) but this only works when all the files are open.

Thanks

Thanks for the tip. Is there anyway this with formulas? It was easy to do
in Lotus (years ago).

There is a pull function from Harlan Grove that you can try

You can find the function at Harlan's FTP site:
ftp://members.aol.com/hrlngrv/
Look for pull.zip
