No, all cells in a column must be the same size.

I should have said that all cells in a column must have the same

Resizing a cell
While Chip is correct, that you can't resize just a single cell within a
column, you can create the effect of different sized cells by using the "Merge Cells" option. It really depends exactly what you're trying to accomplish though. So, while the technical answer to your question is "No", the practical answer is "Maybe". If you post back with more specifics, we may be able to offer a solution.
