Excel 2003:
When dealing with large spreadsheets and trying to scan across the sheet to
read/edit data it would be helpful if you could format large areas of cells
to appear as alternate black/white rows.

When I want to do this, I use a standard feature of ASAP Utilities, a free
Add-in available at www.asap-utilities.com

You can do this with Conditional Formatting, which will preserve
the colors when sorting or copy/pasting. See
