Default I need help with a formula!

Well, I am trying to add cells B4-B11. My #'s in each cell look like this
"1:1"! How do I get the sum of these cells to also look like that?

For example,
B C
4 1:0 0:2
5 0:1 7:2
Total 1:1 7:4

I hope that example helps, thanks!
