If a question asks you to use a number in a cell against another number in
a cell in a sheet? What is it demanding? Is it addition, multiplication,
division or sunbstration?

Secondly, if you are aked to clear an assumption from a cell, what is the
question talking of? Is it clearing a scenario, solver, format or whatever?

I welcome your help.

I can't seem to figure out what you are talking about. A question from a
book? A person? The wording would depend on the person who wrote in those
cases.

Try posting an example instead of an abstraction of the issue, and you may
get more responses.
