Hi
try =IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH("special",A1)),"do something","do something else") -- Regards Frank Kabel Frankfurt, Germany "Irina" schrieb im Newsbeitrag ... Hi guys, The problem is: I need to know if a cell contains special text, if "yes" then do something. When I use "search" it returns "#VALUE!" if the result is FALSE and I do know how to avoid it. Thanks a lot in advance, Irina. -- Irina --------------------------------------------------------------------- --- Irina's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...fo&userid=8685 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=276701 |
