Make sure that there is no "stray" spaces behind or in front of the number
when you typed it into the FIND wizard.

If that doesn't work, you may have the stray space actually in the cell
you're looking for, and so the FIND wizard is not recognizing the number.

Try using the filter feature found in the DATA menu to create a quick drop
down list in that column and clicking on the resulting arrow will list all
the values in decending order... you can find your number and make sure there
are no stray spaces or symbols by it.

(of course, you can also use the good ole sort feature)

Are you searching for entire cell contents or part of cell?

Do you have any extraneous spaces if searching by whole cell?

I do not have the box checked for search entire.... Do you think this is why
I am having problems? There does not appear to be any funny characters or
spaces.

If the numbers are contained with other text/numbers in a cell you would not
select "entire cell contents".

e.g 12345 in a cell

Look for 234

If you have "entire cell contents" checked Find would not find 234

What does your data consist of? Spaces can be hard to see.

In an adjacent column enter =LEN(cellref) and copy down.

Is the length returned the same as your data?

Show us an example of your data.
