How can I format excel to accept time to the 100th of a second?

Default formatting time in excel

Format won't affect whether XL accepts an input (it will accept times to
the thousandth of a second, e.g., 1:23.456).

You can display times to the hundredth using Format/Cells/Number/Custom

m:ss.00
