Default Help with SUMPRODUCT

"=SUMPRODUCT((VP_Active"")*(Revised_Source=$J 10))

I would like to count how many suppliers in the range "Revised_Source"
(Cell J10 is on a summary page for the suppliers) where the value in
the other range VP_Active is anything other than a blank cell. The
blank cell has a formula that returns blank or a value.

Any ideas, this has stumpted me!

Also, forgot to mention, the formula does bring back a result but it
seems to be adding another name range!

Most strange!

Robo,

This works fine for me. Personally I would use <"" rather than "", but
both worked.

Is the dataset large? Have you tried it on a smaller set? Can you show us
some data?
