Hi,
When should I use STDev and when should I use STDevP.? I get the basic idea of Standard Deviation but I don't understand the differences between the two functions. Could anyone help explain the differences? Thanks in advance grd |

Should I use STDEVP
Did you take a look at Help?
STDEV: Estimates standard deviation based on a sample. STDEVP: Calculates standard deviation based on the entire population given as arguments. So, in general, if your data represents the entire population, use STDEVP, otherwise, use STDEV. Note that for large samples, the functions return nearly the same value.
