can anyone tell me why the date format changed to US style as in date first!

Because of something you did either on your computer or in your source data.

Thanks for response but I haven't a clue what I did .... how do I access
source data?

You'll need to supply a lot more information before anyone can help.

If you don't know where your data is coming from, and how to access it, you'll
need to ask whoever set up your worksheet.
