How many IF are authorized?
Hello!
How many tests functions does Excel authorizes in one formula? for instance: =IF(...;...; IF(...;...IF(...,... IF(...;...; .... )))) I went up to 8, then I get an error message asking me to check the parentheses the punctuation.. even if it's correct. Thanks for any suggestion! |

How many IF are authorized?
You are limited to 7 levels of nested functions. Perhaps you can

and I also can separate the forumla in 2 cells by putting in the last ELSE

How many IF are authorized?
Yes you could do that. You might need to watch the order in which you
arrange the two cells. Why not post your requirement. I often find that contributors here come up with quite elegant and much simpler solutions than you might think.
