Default deducting the same percent in a column

I need to deduct 50% from a column of different numbers. Can I set up a
speadsheet to automaticly do this for me?

A quick method with the drawback of not leaving any trace in case you screw
up (unless you do it on a copy) Put 0.5 in an empty cell, copy it, select
the numbers, do editpaste special and select multiply
