Conditional reference on average interest calculation
Hello,
One of the typical problems of modeling in finance is that when interest is calculated on average outstandings a circular reference is created. A possible solution is to have Excel calculating the interest expense/income through iterations. Does anyone know, if other solutions exist? Thank you very much, Pippo |

Conditional reference on average interest calculation
Pippo,
Use some of the financial functions, which do those sorts of things in one go? But, we'd be better able to help if you posted an example of the type of data that you have, and what result you want.
