Default Links to other workbooks

Hi there
I have created a workbook which links to 5 other workbooks and my
formulas pull the data out of the 5 and put it into one consolidated
workbook, however the main workbook wont update until I open the other
files, obviously this is not very practicle as I want it to contanually
update.
The error I get is Warning: open source to update
Any ideas?

My situation is very similiar and have no solution. The MS office
online help has been no help so far but will keep digging. If I find
anything you may find useful I will pass it on. Good hunting.
