For some reason the XIRR function on the version of Excel 2003 on my new
computer is not working. When I enter it the "#NAME?" response comes up, and when I go into the function using "fx" it says that it is "undefined." What is going on here and how can I fix this? Thanks, Alex |

This function is part of the analysis toolpak addin.
You have to install it (if it's not installed) and turn it on. If you look under Tools|Addins, do you see Analysis Toolpak in the list? If you do, just check it. If you don't see it there, close excel and use your distribution CD to install that addin.
