Question Help on "Highlighting" and "Font Colour" functions

These functions are not working on my laptop. I read about contrast and brightness of screen etc and tried to set without getting even faint colours in selected cells. MS Office helpline also was not dealing with such cases. I need these functions regularly and am used to them on other PCs. Please help.

Default Help on "Highlighting" and "Font Colour" functions

Have you disabled the "High Contrast" settings in your Windows
Aceessibility options?

Having that enabled is most frequent cause of not seeing background or
font colors in Excel.
