<<<<< HELP from BRAZIL

Dear Umesh Banga, Good Morning.

I did not understand what was your intention at the search process.

IF your intention was to search for a EXACT value to get the data, then the VLOOKUP formula is wrong.

IF your intention was to search for a APROXIMATED value to get the data then the VLOOKUP formula only works well IF the list is crescent ordered.

I did a new column to show you how the formula can be.
Take a look at it and tell me if it worked for you.

Fell free to ask anything about your question.

Have a nice day.

Default vlookup issue

When you use the argument of TRUE or nothing the list must be sorted
or you will get inexact returns.

I'm amazed you didn't see that G8 and G13 ID numbers don't exist yet
are returning values in those rows.

Add the false argument of =VLOOKUP(G9,lookup,2,FALSE) to see better
results.
