Default countif

I have this formula, =COUNTIF($E$2:$E$250,J2), which I want to modify
so that the range 250 will be dynamic like get the return of
=COUNTA(E:E). What is the best way to go about it?

hi,

if there are no empty cell in the range E2:Ex

=COUNTIF(OFFSET($E$2,,,COUNTA($E:$E)),J2)
